My sweet Mia, You and I are on vacation in Florida with the girls, while your daddy is in Canada on a fishing trip with the boys. The day before we left, you decided to sleep through the night again. You had two weeks of late nights and 3am feedings - during which you stayed up for hours, ready to play. Mommy was so tired and tried many different things to get you back to sleep. I even gave you some formula at night (mixed with my milk) to see if that would last longer in your tummy and get you to stay asleep. But nothing worked. And now, despite any of my efforts, you have decided to go back to your regular bed time and sleep through the night. You must have been growing a lot or learning so much during the day you had to think about it at night. You taught mommy a little more patience (which I am not good at) and you taught me to use even my most exhausting moments as treasured time with you and the Lord!
Our time in Florida has seemed like a golden paradise. You go to bed on time, wake up at a decent hour and take very good naps during the day! And in between we get to play hard together!! Together being the most important part. We giggle and dance, read books, play in the sand, play in the kiddie pool, build blocks, and watch you stand up on your toys. You have let go of your toys or the table to stand and balance on your own before falling on your bum - then pull yourself up to do it all over again:) Mommy loves to watch you play and I cherish the moments you stop to give me a hug or kiss and resume playing again!!
When we get back home, mommy gets to start working just 2 days week and spend the rest of the time living adventures with you:)!! You bring such joy to my heart and I cannot wait to see that joy increase as you discover daily new and exciting things and learn to express who you are as a person!

Mia and Molly
Mia doesn't know it yet, but her best friend is Molly Stock. These pictures are from when they were just itty bitty, but more will come over the years. There will be a gap for a few years since Molly and her family live in South Asia right now - but soon they will be talking on the phone:) Mia just wanted Molly to know she misses her and will soon have a lot to share with her! For now, they will learn new things and grow in God's grace while being world's apart - and later, they will play and learn and grow in God's grace together (and maybe cause a little trouble too!).
